AU PAIR AND FAMILY TESTIMONIALS

We signed up with aupairconnect.com last year. Within hours, we started receiving communication from the registered au pairs. We picked out about five au pairs and interviewed them thoroughly. Finally, we decided on our lovely au pair Anne. We had a wonderful year together and are sad to see her go back to France. I will be back on the site soon to find our next au pair. We had a great year with our French au pair Anne. She became a part of our family from the first day. When she came from France, she had gifts for all of us. Children fell in love with her immediately. She was caring and loving to my children. She bonded with the children right away. Anne was really interested in learning the American culture. She always had questions and she once told me that she was surprised to see how close American families were.

Anne helped me out with our older children as I took care of our newborn baby. She helped the children get ready for school in the morning. She prepared their breakfasts, packed lunches, drove the oldest one, Kevin, to school. Two days a week, she would go to the English language school where she made a lot of friends. Three days she would help me around the house or sometimes take care of the baby so that I could have little time for myself. She would help me with the children's laundry, vacuuming their rooms, sweeping the kitchen floor, and ironing the children's clothes. As we have four children, these chores are a lot of work. Two of us made a great team taking care of children's every need.

I wasn't quite sure about her driving skills at the beginning, but she proved me wrong. My husband helped her get used to the roads we use the most. She would tell me that driving in the US with an automatic car was much easier than driving anywhere else in the world. She could drive to the stores, movies, library, schools and many other places in town.

Anne stayed with us a whole year and a month. She used her extra month to travel around the country. We all learned a lot from each other this year and I am going to get another au pair. I believe this is the best childcare option for our family. Children like to have an au pair around as they felt like Anne was their older sister. I hope we have the same luck year after year.
