1. Register as an au pair for free
Registering at AupairConnect is free and simple. Click on this link to start registering as an aupair.

Enter all your details and upload a photo. Pictures are a very important part of your profile. Most families like to see the au pairs' photos to have a better idea of who you are. If you upload your photo, your profile will be displayed on our home page for a limited time. Your profile will be seen by several families and it won't cost you anything.

After your registration, you will receive an email with your login information. Keep this email to login to your AupairConnect account. If you login to your account often your profile will be displayed better in the search results.

2. Find the Families
You should take the initiative to find your perfect au pair job. We provide you your perfect family matches right after you create your aupair profile. You will see the list of your matches on the left panel in your account when you are logged in to your au pair account.

We offer the au pairs several family search features. You can try our Quick Family Find to locate a the families in your target country who prefer your nationality.

You can also search families by language, country and nationality.

3. Notify the Families
After locating the families you like, you need to notify them of your interest. When you look in the profile pages, you will see Add to my Favorites buttons in all of them. This feature allows you to quickly notify the families that you are interested in them. When you add a family to your Favorites, they will automatically receive an email about your interest and a link to your au pair profile page.

4. Contact the Families
If you want the ability to directly contact the families, we recommend that you become a premium member. Premium membership gives you the power to directly contact the families instead of waiting them to contact you. Visit this link for instructions on becoming a premium member.

5. Choose a Family
Interview the families you contact thoroughly. Be honest about yourself and ask the families any questions you may have before accepting an au pair job offer. Check the visa requirements, talk to the references if the family provides any references. Research the family's city and country if you are not familiar with them already. If you are planing on taking classes, locate a school.

It is very important to talk about everything before you accept a job to have a great au pair experience with your new host family.
