Aupair Position in Detail
We live in a small rural town called Barooga which is 5 minutes drive across the Murry River from Cobram. (population of about 5000people) It is a 45 minute drive to the next large town, Shepparton ( population of about 100000 people) and 3 hours to Melbourne.

Family's Letter to Aupairs
As you can appreciate there is a social and commercial aspect to having an au-pair. There is the aspect of you coming to live with us for a reason but also so you can experience and see Australia. Our first au-pair stayed for 12 months and our current au-pair will be with us for about 6-7 months. All that have stayed with us have had a great time, in fact our first au-pair was only going to be here for 6 month, but enjoyed us and staying here so much she stayed on. As we both work odd hours and full time, we require the au-pair to look after the children ( they are at school from 830am to 300pm weekdays). When we are working morning shifts we required the au-pair to get the kids ready for school, lunches etc. and take them to school ( 5 minute walk ). We do need reasonable assistance with the house work on days when we are working, but don't expect the au-pair to do it all.
